Jonas Brothers concert postponed due to bad weather in New York

DARIEN CENTER, N.Y., July 20 (UPI) -- The first concert of the Jonas Brothers' new tour was postponed due to high winds and lightning in Darien Center, N.Y., the musicians announced.

The tour was due to kick off Friday night at the venue just outside Buffalo, N.Y., but inclement weather made it too dangerous, E! News reported.

"Very sad we cannot perform tonight's show. We love you all. This weather is crazy. Stay safe. We will be back," Joe Jonas tweeted Friday.

"Safety is the main priority and we love our fans too much to put them in danger. Sorry we cannot perform tonight," added Kevin Jonas tweeted.

The Jonas Brothers said they plan to schedule a makeup date for the show, though they don't know when it will be.

"We will be working with LiveNation and the venue on options," Nick added on Twitter. "Thank you and love you all."
