NEW YORK, July 17 (UPI) -- Neil Diamond sang his classic song "Sweet Caroline" at Tuesday night's Major League Baseball All-Star game in New York.

He sang the song -- a favorite at ballparks across the country -- in the middle of the eighth inning at Citi Field in New York.

"American Idol" winner Candice Glover sang the National Anthem at the start of the game, which aired on Fox, while Marc Anthony sang "God Bless America."
