MADRID, July 10 (UPI) --
Opera great Placido Domingo
has been hospitalized in Madrid with a clot on his lung, his spokeswoman said.
The 72-year-old Spanish tenor is expected to make a full recovery, but he has been forced to cancel several planned appearances, The Guardian newspaper reported.
"He's doing very well and responding very well to treatment," his representative Nancy Seltzer said, adding Domingo's doctors advised him to rest for three to four weeks. He was hospitalized Monday.
