Pearl Jam announces 24-date concert tour

SEATTLE, July 9 (UPI) -- Rock band Pearl Jam says it will kick off its 24-date North American concert tour in Pittsburgh Oct. 11.

The group said on its website Monday it will wrap its first string of shows in New Orleans with the band's previously announced headlining performance at Voodoo Music + Arts Experience during the weekend of Nov. 1.

The second leg of the tour will commence in Dallas Nov. 15 and close in the band's hometown of Seattle Dec. 6.

Tickets for the tour are to go on sale July 27.
