LOS ANGELES, June 10 (UPI) -- Paris Jackson, who was hospitalized after a suicide attempt last week, is expected to be released from California's UCLA Medical Center by Friday, E! said.

The 15-year-old daughter of the late pop music icon Michael Jackson is expected to make a full recovery after cutting her wrists with a kitchen knife and ingesting numerous Motrin pills last Wednesday.

E! said the teen is eager to attend her cousin Taj's wedding Sunday at the Jackson family's Encino, Calif., compound.

"The plan is to not keep her past Friday," an insider told the entertainment news outlet. "[Co-guardian] T.J.'s brother Taj is getting married and she desperately wants to be there and everyone wants her to be there."
