Justin Bieber headed into space, says Richard Branson

LOS ANGELES, June 6 (UPI) -- Canadian-born pop star Justin Bieber has booked seats for himself and his manager Scooter Braun on a Virgin Galactic suborbital space flight.

"Great to hear @justinbieber & @scooterbraun are latest @virgingalactic future astronauts. Congrats, see you up there!" Richard Branson, Virgin Galactic's founder, said via Twitter.

"I'm going to space momma!" Braun tweeted.

E! News said Bieber, 19, has not publicly commented on his plans to take the rocket-powered SpaceShipTwo flight, which costs $250,000 a ticket.
