Funeral for Kriss Kross rapper Chris Kelly set for Thursday

ATLANTA, May 6 (UPI) -- A public viewing and funeral are to be held this week in Atlanta for former Kris Kross rapper, Chris "Mac Daddy" Kelly, Vibe.com reported.

Kelly died May 1 of a suspected drug overdose. He was 34.

Vibe.com said his wake is to take place Wednesday at the Murray Brothers Funeral Home. It is to be followed by a funeral service at Jackson Memorial Baptist Church Thursday.

"Though he was only with us a short time, we feel blessed to have been able to share some incredible moments with him," Kelly's family said in a statement. "His legacy will live on through his music, and we will forever love him."
