LOS ANGELES, March 15 (UPI) -- Rapper Lil Wayne was in critical condition at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles Friday night after suffering another seizure, TMZ reported.

The 30-year-old hip-hop artist from New Orleans was hospitalized Tuesday night after suffering multiple seizures, but was released Wednesday after being treated.

TMZ said he was discovered lying on the floor of his room unconscious hours later by one of his bodyguards.

Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr., was taken back to the hospital and admitted to the Intensive Care Unit where he remained in a medically induced coma, breathing through tubes, TMZ said.

The celebrity news website said Wayne's stomach was pumped several times because high amounts of codeine were found in his system, prompting the seizure.
