Lamb of God singer Randy Blythe acquitted of fan death

PRAGUE, Czech Republic, March 5 (UPI) -- A Czech court has acquitted Randy Blythe, lead singer of the U.S. rock band Lamb of God, of a manslaughter charge, officials said.

"I have been found not guilty," the 42-year-old singer said on Instagram Tuesday. "I am a free man."

Blythe was accused of manslaughter after he pushed 19-year-old Daniel Nosek off the stage during a 2010 Prague concert, causing him to suffer a head injury. He died weeks later.

Blythe was arrested last June when he and his band mates arrived in the country to perform.

The BBC said the judge overseeing the case ruled Blythe's actions had not constituted a crime and acquitted him of wrongdoing, however, prosecutors have filed an appeal.
