LAS VEGAS, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- Pop star Celine Dion has canceled this week's shows in Las Vegas as she recovers from the flu and sinusitis, AEG Live announced.

Although her concerts at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace have been canceled through Friday, performances Feb. 26 through Mar. 16 are expected to proceed as scheduled.

"After recovering from the flu last week, Celine developed a secondary infection [sinusitis,] which is being treated with antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medicine," AEG Live said in a news release Sunday. "Her doctor has instructed her to rest for a period of seven consecutive days in order for her to fully recover."
