BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Feb. 9 (UPI) -- Chris Brown is "OK" but his car was "totaled" Saturday in a crash in Beverly Hills, Calif., he blamed on the paparazzi, the singer-actor's representative said.

The unidentified representative told the entertainment news website TMZ Brown, 23, was on his way to a charity event Saturday afternoon when he was cut off by two vehicles.

"The occupants jumped out, with cameras, and aggressively approached his vehicle," Brown's spokesman said. "In an effort to remove himself from the situation, he began to back down an alley at which point his was cut off by two additional vehicles.

"Chris' vehicle was totaled due to this aggressive pursuit by the paparazzi. He is OK."

TMZ said Beverly Hills police confirmed there was an incident Brown and photographers, but provided no additional details.
