NEW YORK, Feb. 6 (UPI) -- Canadian pop star Justin Bieber made history Wednesday by racking up his fifth No. 1 album in the United States before his 19th birthday, which is March 1.
More than 211,000 copies of "Believe Acoustic" have been sold since its Jan. 29 release.
"With this week's incredible success of 'Believe Acoustic,' Justin continues to impress everyone with the magnitude of his artistry," Steve Bartels, president and chief operating officer of Bieber's record label, Island Def Jam Music Group, said in a statement.
"His vision for 'Believe Acoustic' was an organic extension of his growth as a musician on tour and in the studio, consummately devoted to his fans. The album reflects an artist who is not afraid to step outside of every stereotype, regardless of his age. Congratulations, Justin."
