NEW YORK, Jan. 2 (UPI) -- U.S. producer-songwriter The Bullitts says he and hip-hop mogul Jay-Z are penning the music score for director Baz Luhrmann's movie, "The Great Gatsby."

Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire, the film adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic novel is set in New York during the 1920s. It is to open in theaters May 10.

"Jay-Z and myself have been working tirelessly on the score for the upcoming #CLASSIC The Great Gatsby!" The Bullitts announced via Twitter. "It is too DOPE for words!"

Jay-Z's collaboration with Kanye West, "No Church in the Wild," is featured in the film's trailer.
