LOS ANGELES, Dec. 26 (UPI) -- American pop star Lady Gaga announced via Twitter fashion photographer Terry Richardson is directing a documentary about her life.

"Merry Christmas little monsters!" the singer tweeted Tuesday. "Terry Richardson ‪@Terry_World‬ is making a ‪#LadyGagaMOVIE‬ documenting my life, the creation of ARTPOP + you!"

"Artpop" is the name of Lady Gaga's latest album, which is set for release in the spring.

The Hollywood Reporter said the recording artist didn't mention when the documentary is set for release or its title.
