NEW YORK, Dec. 14 (UPI) -- Reeve Carney, the star of Broadway's "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark," plays the love interest in Taylor Swift's new video "I Knew You Were Trouble."

The clip premiered online Thursday.

"The smoldering video features Carney as Swift's magnetic but self-destructive love interest," a news release from representatives for "Spider-Man" said of Carney's side project.

Carney originated the role of Peter Parker in the Broadway musical "Spider-Man," which has been seen by more than 1 million audience members from around the world, since it debuted last year.
