LOS ANGELES, Nov. 16 (UPI) -- Recording artist Bobby Brown pleaded not guilty in a Los Angeles court Friday to driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, TMZ said.

Brown was charged with DUI, driving with a restricted license and driving a vehicle without a vehicle interlock device after he was arrested last month.

His license was restricted and he was ordered to install a breathalyzer device that prevents his car from starting if he has had an alcoholic beverage to drink, following a previous DUI conviction.

Brown's most recent arrest came after police pulled him over for driving erratically and detected the smell of alcohol.

He faces two years in prison if convicted of the charges since he was on probation stemming from his previous DUI arrest. Brown is due back in court next month, TMZ said.
