LOS ANGELES, Nov. 1 (UPI) -- A Los Angeles judge has dismissed a lawsuit filed by Sam Lutfi that accused pop star Britney Spears and her parents of libel, breach of contract and battery.

Lufti has said he was injured during an altercation with Jamie in 2008. He also said he is owed money he earned while allegedly acting as Britney's manager and insisted Lynne told lies about him in her memoir, E! News said.

Spears' parents, Jamie and Lynne, filed a motion Wednesday to have Lutfi's claims thrown out of court, arguing the allegations were baseless.

"I really thought long and hard," E! News reported Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Suzanne Brugera said as she announced her decision Thursday. "So the motions are granted ... as to all the defendants and all the causes of action. That is the right thing to do, so I am going to do it."

Lufti told reporters outside the courtroom he plans to appeal the decision.
