Rapper shot and killed in Florida

MIAMI, Oct. 16 (UPI) -- Robert Labranche, a 37-year-old rapper known as Bizzle or Chowtime, was shot to death in Liberty City, Fla., authorities say.

The Miami Herald reported the Miami hip-hop artist died at a car wash Monday night.

Labranche's two young children were in his sport utility vehicle when he was killed, but escaped the incident unharmed, the newspaper said.

"Fortunately they didn't see the incident," Miami police spokesman Willie Moreno told the Herald. "They were on the other side of the building."

Police said no arrests had been made and the motive for the shooting was unclear.
