NEW YORK, Oct. 11 (UPI) -- Rick Springfield played three songs, including his 1980s anthem "Jessie's Girl," during rush hour in a New York subway station.

TMZ said Wednesday morning's surprise mini-concert drew a massive crowd that sang along as Springfield performed.

Springfield is in the Big Apple to promote "An Affair of the Heart," a documentary about his life and career, which had its theatrical premiere Wednesday at Manhattan's IFC Center.
