LOS ANGELES, Oct. 11 (UPI) -- Bobbi Kristina Brown confirms she is engaged to Nick Gordon in a clip for the new U.S. reality TV series, "The Houstons: On Our Own."

E! News said rumors have been circulating for months claiming the 19-year-old daughter of R&B singer Bobby Brown and the late recording star Whitney Houston intends to marry Gordon, a young man raised as her adopted brother.

However, Bobbi Kristina has denied the wedding buzz until now, E! News said.

In a promo for the A&E Network show, which is to premiere Oct. 24, Bobbi Kristina announces, "We're engaged!" to the disapproval of some of her family members.

The show follows Houston's loved ones as they try to move on after her accidental drowning in a hotel bathtub following drug use in February. She was 48.
