LOS ANGELES, Sept. 18 (UPI) -- Lady Gaga's "Born This Way Ball" world concert tour will stop in 25 North American cities next year, Live Nation announced Tuesday.

The U.S. and Canadian leg of the tour will begin Jan. 11 in Vancouver and will include stops in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Toronto. Tickets go on sale Friday at www.LiveNation.com.

The North American shows follow the singer's recent run in Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Asia. The tour began April 27 in Seoul and features music from the Grammy Award winner's albums "Born This Way," "The Fame" and "The Fame Monster."

"The Haus of Gaga and I have worked for months conceiving a spectacular stage," Lady Gaga said of her creative collaborators in a statement. "The 'Born This Way Ball' is an electro-metal pop-opera; the tale of the beginning, the genesis of the kingdom of fame. How we were birthed and how we will die celebrating."
