LOS ANGELES, Aug. 14 (UPI) -- Bobby Brown's wife and manager, Alicia Etheredge, told Radar Online the U.S. recording star has returned to rehab.

Brown, who was married to the late singer Whitney Houston from 1992 to 2007, has long battled substance-abuse issues and sought treatment numerous times through the years. He was arrested for drunken driving shortly after Houston accidentally drowned in a Beverly Hills, Calif., hotel bathroom after using cocaine in February.

"He's doing great," Etheridge said Tuesday of Brown's current stint in a rehabilitation facility.

She did not say where he is undergoing treatment or when it began.

Radar Online said Brown's New Edition bandmates urged him to check into rehab after they became concerned about his excessive drinking.
