LONDON, Aug. 10 (UPI) -- Amy Winehouse's father, Mitch, says it is likely her ex-husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, will survive a recent drug overdose.

The Sun newspaper reported Thursday Fielder-Civil, to whom Amy was married from 2007-09, was on life support and in a medically induced coma since last month when he was found choking in his bed after a drug binge.

The incident happened days after the first anniversary of Amy's death of alcohol poisoning at the age of 27.

"It looks like Blake is going to get through this. That's good news," Mitch Winehouse said via Twitter Friday. "I am not supporting Blake but I am praying for his recovery."
