NEW YORK, July 17 (UPI) -- Columbia Records says Bob Dylan's 35th studio album, "Tempest," will be released this September in North America.

Featuring 10 new songs penned and sung by Dylan, the CD coincides with the 50th anniversary of the artist's eponymous debut album, which was released by Columbia in 1962.

His new CD is due out Sept. 11 and follows his 2009 albums "Together Through Life" and "Christmas in the Heart."
