LONDON, July 9 (UPI) -- Melanie "Sporty Spice" Chisholm's publicist says the British singer has broken up with her longtime boyfriend, real-estate developer Thomas Starr.

The Daily Mail in London confirmed the split Monday.

The former "Spice Girls" girl-group member began dating Starr in 2002. They have a daughter Scarlet, 3.
