NASHVILLE, July 8 (UPI) -- Former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr celebrated his 72nd birthday with a star-studded concert at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.

"You know, it's hard for me to believe -- Ringo at the Ryman!" Starr said after opening the concert. "Far out. A man could only dream."

Before the concert, Starr made other appearances in Nashville, including a stop at the Hard Rock Cafe, The (Nashville) Tennessean reported.

Starr's "All-Starr Band," which currently features Todd Rundgren, Steve Lukather of Toto, Gregg Rolie of Santana and Journey and Richard Page of Mr. Mister, played Beatles hits, as well songs from their respective bands.

They also played a rendition of "Happy Birthday" for Starr.

Starr closed out the show with the Beatles hit "With a Little Help from My Friends," with guest vocals from Brad Paisley, Vince Gill, Kix Brooks, Joe Walsh and Richard Marx.

After Starr left the stage, the band continued with a cover of John Lennon's "Give Peace a Chance."

"That's all we're saying," Starr said before leaving the party.
