NEW YORK, May 30 (UPI) -- Katrina Lenk has joined the cast of "Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark" in the role of Arachne, the Broadway musical's producers said.

Christina Sajous wrapped up her run as the goddess-of-weavers-turned-cursed-spider Sunday, and Lenk began playing the part Tuesday.

Based on the classic comic-book series and featuring music by U2's Bono and The Edge, the production has been seen by nearly 1 million audience members from around the world in the past year, the show's producers said.
