PASAY CITY, Philippines, May 20 (UPI) -- Filipino musicians have advised American pop star Lady Gaga to change offensive lyrics in advance of upcoming concerts in the country.

Lady Gaga arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Sunday on a private plane for concerts Monday and Tuesday at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City, GMA News reported.

Arnel Pineda, the Filipino vocalist for the band Journey, said it would be best if Lady Gaga altered the lyrics for her hit "Judas" to appease Catholic groups.

"I'm watching the show, I'm very curious what she's going to do. I have to see for myself if she's trying to offend our beliefs," Pineda told ABS-CBN News.

Religious groups have opposed Lady Gaga's performances, calling her lyrics anti-Christian.

Pasay City Mayor Antonio Calixto told GMA News a provision in the concert permit prohibits obscenity, including nudity or anything offensive.
