NEW YORK, April 25 (UPI) -- America's People magazine has named singer, actress and new mom Beyonce its 2012 World's Most Beautiful Woman.

The 30-year-old recording star, who has won 16 Grammy Awards, gave birth in January to her first child, a daughter named Blue Ivy Carter. She is married to Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter.

"I feel more beautiful than I've ever felt because I've given birth," Beyonce told the magazine. "I have never felt so connected, never felt like I had such a purpose on this Earth."
