ALHAMBRA, Calif., April 24 (UPI) -- Phil Spector's wife, Rachelle, has filed a lawsuit claiming the city of Alhambra, Calif., has failed to fix a retaining wall surrounding the couple's mansion.

Spector, 72, is serving a 19-year-to-life sentence in Corcoran State Prison for fatally shooting actress Lana Clarkson in his Alhambra home in 2003.

The music producer married Rachelle, now 31, in 2006. She has lived in the 10-bedroom house, which was built in 1925, since before their wedding.

The Los Angeles Times reported Rachelle's lawyers filed the lawsuit against the city of Alhambra April 19 in Los Angeles County Superior Court. In the documents filed, Rachelle said she is seeking unspecified compensatory damages because the city has ignored numerous requests to fix the wall, which she said poses safety concerns and could damage the property.
