CHARLOTTE, N.C., April 7 (UPI) -- "American Idol" winner Fantasia Barrino has put the North Carolina mansion she nearly lost to foreclosure on the market for $500,000 less than she paid for it.

Barrino listed the five-bedroom, 38,768-square-foot mansion in Charlotte for $800,000. She paid $1.3 million for the home in 2007, TMZ reported Saturday.

She nearly lost the mansion to foreclosure in 2009 when she defaulted on a $58,000 loan, but she made some last-minute payments to avoid that indignity, TMZ said.

There have been no reports of any offers made on the mansion.
