Humperdinck's Eurovision song announced

LONDON, March 19 (UPI) -- Engelbert Humperdinck will sing the ballad "Love Will Set You Free" as the United Kingdom's entry in the Eurovision Song Contest, organizers said Monday.

The song title was announced on the BBC's Eurovision Web site.

"The more you listen to it, the stronger it gets," the BBC quoted the entertainer as saying about the song. "It's not a one-time listen."

Humperdinck, 75, is best known for his 1967 hit "Release Me." He has sold more than 150 million records and was announced last month as Britain's contender for the Eurovision Song Contest, which is to take place May 26 in Azerbaijan.
