HOLLYWOOD, March 11 (UPI) -- Reports Britney Spears wants $10 million to judge the "The X Factor" in the fall are incorrect -- she wants $20 million, a source told The Wrap.

Spears turned down the $10 million offer three weeks ago and is mulling the possibility of following Celine Dion's lead and becoming an in-house performer at an unnamed Las Vegas hotel, The Wrap said Friday.

With NBC's "The Voice" looming large over Fox's "X Factor," the war of paycheck brinkmanship has begun. The peacock network has put a crowbar into its wallet to shell out $10 million for Christina Aguilera to judge "The Voice."

Fox only paid Paul Abdul, who was fired, $2.5 million, The Wrap said.

Britney Spears' people are mum. Fox is mum. Simon Cowell's camp declined comment.
