LAS VEGAS, March 2 (UPI) -- Recording star Cee Lo Green has announced plans for a Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, starting in August.

"Cee Lo Green Presents Loberace" is to premiere Aug. 29. It will mark the first of Green's 28 planned performances at the venue this year.

Best known as half the soul duo Gnarls Barkley, Green's solo song "Forget You" was a huge hit in 2010. He is now serving as judge on TV's "The Voice" for a second season and he performed with Madonna at the Super Bowl halftime show this year, as well.

"More of a spectacle than a show, Cee Lo, the conductor/ringmaster 'Loberace,' will take you on a ride through the colorful decades of music, stopping at legendary moments in time, from Prince to Blue Magic to The Rolling Stones, new wave to disco and beyond," a synopsis said.

"Visually, the production will combine CeeLo's flamboyant sense of style and over-the-top creativity, magnified and intensified, with his soulful voice covering some of his favorite music, as well as original songs."
