Further production information will be announced in the near future, the show's producers said in a release Tuesday.

"Matilda the Musical" premiered at The Courtyard Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon, home of the RSC, playing to sold-out audiences for 12 weeks from November 2010 to January 2011. The production transferred to London's West End on Oct. 25, 2011 where the show continues to play to sold-out houses, the producers said.

Written by the playwright Dennis Kelly, with music and lyrics by the Australian comedian, musician and composer Tim Minchin, the musical is based on Dahl's 1988 novel about a girl with extraordinary powers.
