MASHANTUCKET, Conn., Feb. 26 (UPI) -- Rapper Jim Jones was involved in a fight outside a Connecticut casino, leading to officers having to mace him before his arrest, state police say.

The original member of The Diplomats was attending a party hosted by Diddy at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods Saturday night when an unknown man allegedly came up to Jones and began taunting him.

Jones allegedly tried to ignore the man who began throwing punches, TMZ reported. Jones defended himself, TMZ said, and the alleged assailants friends' began fighting, with Jones' responded in kind.

Connecticut State Police said they were called to the resultant brawl and it took five officers and mace to subdue Jones and take him into custody, where he was charged with assault on a police officer and breach of peace.
