PARIS, Feb. 17 (UPI) -- Adele is suing to block a French paparazzo from releasing on his blog a sex tape he claims features the British recording star.

The 23-year-old singer won six Grammy Awards this week.

Her publicist told the Daily Telegraph that claims she appears in a sex video, allegedly shot by an ex-boyfriend with a smartphone and now making the rounds, are "100 percent false."

Adele hired London law firm Schillings to bring legal action against photographer, Jean Claude Elfassi, as well as the French celebrity magazine Public, which published stills from the video under the headline, "Adele, the Sex Tape, her ex takes his revenge," the Telegraph said.

The newspaper said the clip was to be released on Elfassi's Web site Saturday, but the page Friday showed the message "temporarily disabled."

"Hurry up and steal or buy Public, they do not have enough printed and there are already shortages in newsagents," Elfassi said via Twitter.
