LOS ANGELES, Feb. 10 (UPI) -- The Rev. Jesse Jackson is to eulogize "Soul Train" founder Don Cornelius at a memorial service in California's Forest Lawn Memorial Park, organizers said.
Cornelius, a Chicago native, fatally shot himself Feb. 1. He was 75 at the time of his death and was cremated Thursday.
The Chicago Sun-Times said music icons Stevie Wonder and Smokey Robinson are expected to perform at the semiprivate service for Cornelius in Hollywood Hills Feb. 16.
His family told the Sun-Times they are expecting about 1,000 family members and friends, including Lionel Richie, George Duke and Donnie McClurkin.
