Teen solves centuries-old math problem
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 9 (UPI) -- British singer Adele says she found a cellphone application to swear for her while she recovered from throat surgery and couldn't speak.
The recording star, who is up for six Grammy Awards Sunday night, made the remarks to Anderson Cooper in her first TV interview since she had a hemorrhaged polyp on her vocal cord removed via laser last November.
Their chat is to air on Sunday's edition of "60 Minutes," CBS said.
Not speaking "was really hard," Adele told Cooper. "I love talking."
She said she communicated by writing on a pad after her operation but also found a phone app she liked.
"You type the words into it and then it speaks it," she said. "But the great thing is I love to swear. Most of [the apps] you can't swear on, but I found this one app where you can swear, so I'm still really getting my point across."
