Gibb told BBC Radio 2 he had a growth on his colon removed and "the results have been spectacular."
"I was diagnosed with a growth in my colon," Gibb said. "It was removed and I've been treated for that by a brilliant doctor."
The Los Angeles Times said Gibb will return to the stage in April with a performance of "The Titanic Requiem," which he composed along with his son, RJ, to mark the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the ocean liner.
