Rihanna to perform with Coldplay at Grammys

Coldplay and Rihanna are to perform live together for the first time at next month's Grammy Awards show in Los Angeles, the Recording Academy said.

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Jan. 19 (UPI) -- Coldplay and Rihanna are to perform live together for the first time at next month's Grammy Awards show in Los Angeles, the Recording Academy said Thursday.

Also set to take the stage at the Feb. 12 event at the Staples Center is 2012 MusiCares Person of the Year Paul McCartney.

Previously announced performers for the 54th annual Grammy Awards ceremony include nominees Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson, Foo Fighters, Bruno Mars, Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift.

LL Cool J is to serve as host of the prize presentation.
