ATLANTA, Jan. 13 (UPI) -- Singer and reality TV personality Toni Braxton says she is feeling better after being hospitalized in Los Angeles this week following a lupus flare-up.

"I wanted to say thanks to all my fans for their support, as I have been experiencing some flare-ups with my lupus which has me in the hospital for a few days," Braxton said via Twitter.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution said the star of TV's "Braxton Family Values" was in Los Angeles for a personal appearance, but fell ill and wasn't able to attend as planned.

The newspaper did not say when or if Braxton was discharged from the hospital.
