LOS ANGELES, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Rapper T.I. says he will release a new mixtape Saturday as the United States celebrates New Year's Eve.

The tape titled "Da City Up" will come out about the time the fabled Times Square ball drops in New York City on midnight and will pave the way for the pending release of his new album "Trouble Man."

The Los Angeles Times said T.I. has been busy in recent weeks plugging "Trouble Man," his eighth album and first since completing an 11-month stretch in federal prison for violating his probation on weapons charges.

T.I. has been busy on Twitter and has also released video clips in connection with "Trouble Man," including scenes in which he is being creative in the studio with Young Jeezy and Dr. Dre.
