

NEW YORK, Nov. 21 (UPI) -- Chaka Khan, Erykah Badu, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings and Boyz II Men are to perform at the VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul show in New York, organizers said.
The stellar lineup for the event at the Hammerstein Ballroom will also include Estelle, Marsha Ambrosius and Travie McCoy.
The show is set to air Dec. 19 on VH1.
"We are so excited to feature these diverse and multitalented women and men joining our 'Divas' roster this year to showcase the global impact of soul music and how influential and inspirational the music is to today's chart-topping artists," Lee Rolontz, executive vice president of original music production and development for VH1 and VH1 Classic, said in a statement Monday.
"Celebrating the soul music borne out of some of the world's greatest cities being performed by today's top artists with the iconic legends that put soul music on the map prove this year's 'Divas' will be a must-see event."
The headlining "Divas" were announced at an earlier date. They are Mary J. Blige, Kelly Clarkson, Florence + The Machine, Jennifer Hudson, Jessie J. and Jill Scott.
