LONDON, Nov. 16 (UPI) -- British recording star Adele said on her Web site her recent throat surgery was a success and she is now on the mend.
"Thank you for all your positive thoughts and get well wishes," the singer told fans in a blog posting dated Monday. "I'm doing really well, on the mend, super happy, relaxed and very positive with it all. The operation was a success and I'm just chilling out now until I get the all clear from my doctors."
The 23-year-old singer last month canceled the rest of her 2011 concert tour schedule so she could undergo the operation and recuperate afterward.
