Heavy D autopsy under way

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- An autopsy was being performed on Dwight Arrington Myers, the Jamaican-born rapper known as Heavy D, officials in Los Angeles told TMZ Wednesday.

The cause of the hip-hop star's death Tuesday at the age of 44 was not immediately known.

TMZ said the 6-foot-4 recording star was 344 pounds when he collapsed outside of his Beverly Hills, Calif., condo. He was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
