CARDIFF, Wales, Oct. 5 (UPI) -- The band Black Eyed Peas has dropped out of this weekend's "Michael Forever" show in Wales, organizers of the Michael Jackson tribute said.
"It is with regret that we announce the removal of Black Eyed Peas from the 'Michael Forever' bill, but I look forward to a great night with other earth-shattering artists," Chris Hunt, chief executive officer of Global Live Events, told the BBC.
Still booked to perform at the event are La Toya and the Jackson Brothers -- Jackson's sister and their brothers Marlon, Tito and Jackie -- as well as Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Gladys Knight, Smokey Robinson, Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke, JLS, Diversity, Ne-Yo, Pixie Lott, Alien Ant Farm, Jennifer Hudson and Craig David.
BBC personality Fearne Cotton and Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx are to serve as co-hosts of the show, which is expected to raise money for three charities, including the Los Angeles-based AIDS Project.
Jackson died in 2009 at the age of 50. His personal physician is on trial in Los Angeles for involuntary manslaughter for allegedly administering lethal amounts of sedatives and anesthesia to the pop star in an effort to help him sleep.
