Adele concerts canceled due to illness

WOLVERHAMPTON, England, Sept. 10 (UPI) -- This weekend's Adele concerts in Great Britain were canceled while the singing sensation fights off a cold, her Web site announced Saturday.

A statement posted on the site said the shows at the Wolverhampton Civic Center would be rescheduled.

"Her doctors have insisted she recovers fully before returning to the tour," the statement said.

Adele, who has reeled off two No. 1 hits this year -- "Rolling in the Deep" and "Someone Like You" -- is battling a cold and chest infection, The Daily Telegraph reported.
