LAS VEGAS, Aug. 28 (UPI) -- Actress Eva Longoria is part of a plan to buy the Beso restaurant in Las Vegas out of bankruptcy, court documents indicate.

A subsidiary of the Landry's chain filed a plan last week to purchase the assets of Beso for $1 million and give Longoria a 30-percent stake in the business, the Las Vegas Sun said.

Longoria was a previous investor in Beso, which is located in the massive CityCenter development and was behind in its rent to the tune of $3.5 million. Longoria stands to lose much of her original $1.37 million investment, according to court documents.

The proposal from Landry's will obligate Longoria to continue making appearances at Beso but will also indemnify her from future lawsuits filed by the original investors.
