LOS ANGELES, Aug. 6 (UPI) -- A lawsuit says 2004 "American Idol" champion Fantasia Barrino owes a bank more than $25,000 for unspecified reasons.
TMZ.com said Saturday the suit was filed last month by a collection agency contending Fantasia owes U.S. Bank $25,057.02 plus interest dating back to 2009.
Fantasia, who this week announced she was expecting her second child, nearly lost her home to foreclosure in 2009 but made some last-minute payments to avoid that indignity, TMZ said.
